Nearly New Sale

Thank you to all those who
supported the nearly new sale.
We raised £150 towards our
gazebo.

The Little Acorns Pre-school is a member of the Pre-School Learning Alliance and have adopted their constitution as defined in 2008.  We are a Registered Charity and are run by a parent committee, for the local community, as a non-profit making organisation.

Fundraising is an essential part of our Pre-School, enabling us to update toys and equipment as necessary, please support these events as much as possible.

We are based within St Lukes Church Hall, which has 2 halls for the sole use of the Pre-School.  The large hall holds 26 children, and the small hall 19, but when they are both in operation at the same time, the maximum number of children is 36.  Cloakroom and wash facilities are provided for all, and a kitchen is available for adult use only.

We have a paved area for the children to play in throughout the year and a grassed area is available (weather permitting) all of which is surrounded by a secure fence.

Our Aims

  • To provide high quality care and education for children between 2 years to school age,  working in partnership with parents.

  • To assist all children in their overall development, supporting their individual needs and requirements by learning through play.

Your Child

  • is in a safe and stimulating environment.
  • will benefit because of our high ratio of adults to children.
  • has the chance to join with other children and adults to play and learn together.
  • is encouraged to build on their learning and development through our varied curriculum.
  • has a key person who monitors their progress.
